Description: This position, fully funded by UCF, offers an opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking research in the investigation of structural defects in ferroelectrics and semiconductors using Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM). Your primary objective will be to utilize 4D-STEM (Four-Dimensional Scanning Transmission Electron Microscopy) techniques to characterize thin films. Your focus will involve investigating the structural and polarization properties of these materials through strain engineering methodologies. Key Responsibilities: Conducting in-depth research utilizing advanced TEM techniques to analyze structural defects in ferroelectric and semiconductor materials. Collecting and analyzing data to draw meaningful conclusions and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field. Communicating research findings through publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at conferences.
