Naveen Eluru, Ph.D., presents “Role of Modern Micro-Economic Approaches for Analyzing Technology Adoption and Usage Behavior Patterns.” He offers a data analytics technique: microeconomic, theory-based models, which can be useful when analyzing data generated from an individual (technology adoption and usage patterns)
Faculty Talk 2 – Dr. Samiul Hasan
Samiul Hasan, Ph.D., presents “Data Science for Smart and Resilient Cities,” and discusses his data-driven approaches to understanding infrastructure and community resilience. He overviews several projects including NSF-funded ones focused on hurricane evacuation (traffic prediction, evacuation crash analysis, more). He shares results of an FDOT-funded project involving a data-driven forecasting tool for nearly 200 intersections in Seminole County
