Kareem Ahmed, Ph.D., presents “High-Speed Flows and Advanced Propulsion, from Hypersonics and Energy to Space Rockets and Exploding Stars.” He overviews his research in these areas and invites collaborators

Faculty Talk 2 – Dr. Tuhin Das

Tuhin Das, Ph.D., presents “Acausal Modeling and Simulation of Floating Offshore Wind Turbines.” FOWTs are governed by aerodynamics, hydrodynamics, rigid-body dynamics and vibration phenomena. Dr. Das overviews his research modeling FOWTs on an acausal environment, which facilitates modeling of multi-domain power transfer and more. He shares preliminary results comparing traditional and nonlinear controllers, and discusses the idea of individual pitch control. He invites collaborators
